It's working - Please send us your testimony explaining how you solved the problem.

Every Friday an older lady parked her new car near our house to go to the Beauty Salon nearby.  This car had a mighty "beep" and after a couple of weeks of this anoying noise, I left a "Thank you for locking your car doors silently" leaflet under her windshield wiper.  It worked.  She still comes by every Friday but this time silently...

I remember when my neighbor was parking his new "beeping" car right under my bedroom window.  I asked him if he could please not use the horn when locking the doors.  Luckily he was nice and stopped the beeping but nevertheless mentionned that he liked the sound!!!

As I was leaving for errands one day, I recognized a car that was parking in front of my house (I live near a commercial Street).  I remembered that very same car as having a loud "beep" and recognized the owner.  While he stepped out of the car, I asked him not to use the "beep" since my wife had cancer and was having a nap just above.  He said I should be thankfull that he does not have an alarm system and only a "beep".  Sure enough he "beeped" and I started to mention to him that he should try not to use this system.  Naturally, he did not agree and we discussed this for a few minutes in a civilized manner.  It happened that we met again the next morning and he said he thought about our discussion.  It made him realize that his own father is sick and prefers silence to noise and that when he was living in France cars would not "beep" loudly when using a locking device.  Haven't heard that car ever since.
